LANDS COMMISSION ENGAGEMENT WITH NSCW

The Director of the National Sports College, Mr. Fuseini Bawah, recently hosted a two-member delegation from the Cape Coast Lands Commission as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen land documentation and safeguard the institution’s property. The delegation, led by Surveyor Clement Appiah, visited the College to discuss practical steps toward formally mapping and demarcating its land boundaries.
A key focus of the meeting was the need to clearly define the College’s land limits to support the documentation process for the proposed National Sports College Bill. Accurate mapping and official records are expected to provide the legal clarity required to advance the Bill while reinforcing the institution’s long-term development plans.
Discussions also highlighted plans to construct a perimeter fence wall around the College. This initiative aims to protect the property from encroachment, enhance security, and preserve the land for current academic activities as well as future expansion projects. Proper demarcation is seen as a crucial first step toward achieving these goals.
The engagement reflects the College’s proactive commitment to responsible land management and institutional growth. By collaborating with the Lands Commission, the National Sports College seeks to ensure its assets are properly documented, secured, and positioned to support its mission of advancing sports education and development in Ghana.
